Message from the Worshipful Master WB Rogelio C. Nuñeza
On April 20, 2013, we shall be celebrating our 38th Charter Day and Past Master's Night. It is a night when we pay tribute to our Past Masters, the men who have laid the foundation and further developed Iligan Lodge No. 207. On this special occasion, I am inviting all the members of this Worshipful Lodge and all of our brethren to join us in this celebration. On the same day, before our stated meeting, we shall be raising Bro. Ian Sagario.
Onward to ANCOM 2013 in Iloilo City, Iligan Lodge No. 207 shall be represented by the Worshipful Master, the Senior Warden, the Secretary and a number of our brethren. For the brethren who will join us on the 23rd of April, we have reserved two rooms through VW Anggie Rentoy. In addition, join us in visiting Boracay as one of our bonding activities.
Our deepest sympathies to Sis Inday, Bro. Christopher and Venus for the untimely death of VW Ben Alipio. VW Ben was our Installing Officer in the last Installation Ceremony for the lodge officers for MY 2013. He was a very active Mason, a charitable man, a leader and a brother-one that will be missed.
Our condolence to WB Robert Padilla for the passing of his 11 year old grandson in Nevada, USA.
On the lighter note, I would like to share with you this story : During the first night of vigil, our group, seated at the left side of the entrance of the lodge was chatting when suddenly a snappy brother introduced himself. One of my talking buddies asked him, "Bro what is your lodge?". he answered politely, "I am a member of Lodge... ". My buddy said "pareho diay ta Bro - we belong to the same lodge!" We all laughed. If not for the vigil of VW Ben, they would not have known each other. Imagine, belonging to the same lodge and not knowing each other! Probably, both of them had been absent for quite some time at their lodge meeting.
I hope this will not happen to Iligan Lodge No. 207. Please attend our stated meetings regularly.
