Bulletin and Summon of Regular Stated Meeting January 21, 2023

 Message from the East

Bro. CARL IRWIN P. GARZON
Worshipful Master

Greetings Brethren!

We, Masons, get a lot out of our fraternity.  We get a chance to make new friends, do worthwhile things in our community and improve ourselves as human beings. We have opportunities for ethical, moral and spiritual growth. We have a support system in times of trouble, and we have a chance to be with other masons, do things together, and talk and share our ideas and goals.

But our families and communities get a lot out of Masonry, too.  You may not be aware of all those benefits but it's good to know them.  Sometimes they can really make a difference!

First of all, there are lodge activities for the family...
We know that a Mason's family is most important thing in our lives.  We plan activities in which the entire family can participate just like last February 15, 2023 when we celebrated the "Iligan Masonic Lodge 207 Family Day".  I truly appreciate who attended the said event and brought their Families as we had fun and successful event.

And if you ever need help...
In a strange town or a foreign city, help is as close as the nearest Mason.  All you have to do is find one.  Look for the Square and Compasses - you'll find one at the back of this brochure (or at the bottom of the page) - on a ring or pin, or look up the number of the lodge in the telephone book.  Make yourself known as the wife, son, or daughter of a Mason, and you'll get all the help that you need. Just like our lodge have all promised to give any Brethren our help.

Our City benefits too...
We do many things to make our communities better places in which to live.  It takes many pages of computer printout to list the local projects in even one city or province in which masons are involved. Such things as we have done in our lodge was clean up programs, packed foods and goods for the needy, Feeding programs for street family giving volunteer time to services for the elderly... the list go on and on.  But all these things make our city a better place for us to live.  Masons care!

That's the key - Masons care...
We care about our own development as men and Masons.  We care about our country. We care about our individual faiths. We care about the poor, the sick, the helpless, and the hopeless.

And, especially, we care about our families.  We care about our wives as independent, equal partners in life.  We care about our children, not only because they represent hope for tomorrow, but as growing or developing individuals who must be given every possible chance to be everything they can be.

As I end my term, I hope that the support and cooperation you all have shown and given will continue as our newly-elected WM Maclin Lanto set his programs and activities for the new Masonic Year 2023.

TOGETHER BRETHREN!

Bulletin and Summon of Stated Meeting August 15, 2015

MESSAGE FROM THE EAST

WB Pat D. Noel
Worshipful Master

Brethren, I would like to thank everyone who registered for the 2nd Masonic District Convention.  It was a very successful event. Relating to this, I would like to apologize to the brethren and to the district though that I was not able to finish the affair as I was not feeling well.  Kudos to VW Ian Uy and to the District Grand  Lecturers,  and to all the lodges of the district who exerted efforts in assuring the success of the event.  It was reported that the  bowling event brought nothing else to the brethren but fun, fun, fun.  And the fellowship that followed at the Hangout was awesome.  Thanks to Bro. Khaliquzzaman Macabato for the      sponsorship of the snack…Shirogi pan de sal rocks!  To Mr. Benjohnson Siao, through Bro. Boyd Siao, for the lechon during dinner.

For upcoming events, our IPM WB Ali Bari is preparing for the   ongoing greening program which does not need further backgrounder.  Hopefully, we will continue to support the greening program not just of the Grand Lodge but of the entire country.

During our last stated meeting, we were surprised and thankful of the presence of some brethren whom we have not seen for quite some time due to unavoidable reasons.  WBro. Lowell Chiong who is now based in the United States of America; and, Bro. Marlon Yu, a brother who works onboard an oil tanker.

For this month, we will be passing Bro. Ted Yu and Bro. John Yasser Sanguila.  We’re looking forward to the active participation of our new addition to our beloved lodge.  Again, thank you very much to the brethren who responded to the team that will compose the 2nd degree rituals.

For the success of our beloved Iligan Lodge No. 207, we should continue to work in harmony, camaraderie and Love.

TOGETHER BRETHREN!

Bulletin and Notice of Meeting August 16, 2014

MESSAGE FROM THE EAST

WB Ali M. Bari
Worshipful Master

Brethren,

Greetings and May the Grand Architect of the Universe bless us and our loved ones with good health.

The First District Convention held last 9 August 2014 was very successful for once more, it renewed the harmony in our district.   The whole process of the convention was held on time.  RW Tomas G. Rentoy III, Deputy Grand Master of Masons graced the affair; with Hon. Mamintal A. Adiong, Jr. the Provincial Governor of Lanao del Sur as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.  The Junior Grand Lecturer, WV Conrad Lim was in attendance.  There were 122 brethren registered on this convention, our lodge was officially represented by 22 members, second highest registered lodge.  The highlight of the convention was the nomination of Junior Grand Warden from our district.  WB OSCAR V. BADELLES, Past Master of Iligan Lodge No. 207 was the unanimous choice of the brethren.  After the closing of the convention, bowling fun tournament was held at the Midtown Bowling Lane.  The overall champion was Lake Lanao Lodge 227, followed by Rajah Indarapatra Lodge 387.  Congratulation to our Marawi brethren!

Our Bring-a-Frined program was postponed to September 20, 2014.  This will give more time in the preparation of the program inasmuch as we are inviting non-masons to join us in this affair.

TOGETHER BRETHREN let us make once more Iligan Lodge No. 207 the jewel of the Masonic District!

Bulletin and Summon of Regular Stated Meeting - March 19, 2014

Message from the Oriental Chair
WB Ali M. Bari
Worshipful Master

Brethren :

Greetings and May the Grand Architect of the Universe bless us and our loved ones with good health.

The three lights of the lodge joined me in congratulating those who made contribution of efforts that paved the way for the success of the recent installation ceremony.  I wish to acknowledge the performance of the installing team : WB Stephen T. Monterroyo (Installing Officer), WB Lester Salazar (MC) and WB Arsenio Q. Mejia (Asst. MC).  The Installation Ceremony of Iligan Lodge No. 207 was the finale of the team for this year.

Thank you for the attendance of our brethren, the OES and the Order of the Amaranth, in our inaugural celebration at Plaza Alemania.  Most of all, thank you WB Oskie Badelles, our  Guest Speaker for that inspiring message.

This year, I request the brethren of Iligan Lodge No. 207 to help in the planning of our programs, especially those that will reinvigorate our lodge and bring back our brethren back to masonic activities.  We hope to bring back our programs on "Bring a Friend", the Beehives Award to deserving brethren and more community works.

TOGETHER BRETHREN let us make once more Iligan Lodge No. 207 the jewel of the Masonic District.

Bulletin and Summon of Meeting - January 18, 2014

Message from the East

WB Rogelio C. Nuñeza

Brethren, may the blessings of the Great Architect of the Universe be always upon us.

I would like to greet all the brethren on this worshipful lodge a belated Happy New Year.  I regret I could not be with the lodge last December 2013 stated meeting.  I have to accompany your Sister Olga to Sr Lanka and proceeded to India for a short visit.  I wish to impart that the holiday season strengthened our understanding to our commitments to the teaching our ancient institution.

Once more, we are affected by the LPA "Agaton" that hit some areas in Mindanao, including Iligan City.  This resulted to evacuation of some families to safer areas.  The Masonic Relief Coordinating Council led by VW Eduardo Ulindang, DDGM, made a round in many evacuation center and provided food to the families.  The major destruction was the bridge at Lapayan, Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte that link Iligan City and Northern Mindanao to the Zamboanga Peninsula.  It affected major economic activities and more than a million of people whose business range from farm products such as rice and corn to fish for the City of Iligan and neighboring areas.  Let's hope that htis could be repaired earlier.

Brethren, this will be my last stated meeting as your Worshipful Master prior to the installation of the next WM in February 2014, I wish to thank all of you for your support and understanding.  The Masonic Year 2013 is memorable to me and my family and wish that Iligan Lodge 207 will continue to be the lodge we look up for our masonic activities.  I wish to reiterate my commitments for support to all our activities in the future.

Also, I welcome Bro. Karl Garzon, FCM to an active  masonic life as he is scheduled to a raising on our January stated meeting.  Bro. Ali Bari, Senior Warden and Master-elect will led the team to confer the Master Mason degree.

Lastly, I wish to thank all Masons who have given their support, both personal and financial to all the programs made during my term.  Let us move to another year of service to masonry, our fellowmen, our country and to the Grand Architect of the Universe.
